A novel bearing ball lapping device is put forward in this article, which use solid abrasives to get a high lapping efficiency. In this case, to obtain a better quality especially a better uniformity is of high importance. Based on the kinetic analysis of the new lapping mode, it is found that the lapping trace is mainly influenced by the eccentric distance, the distance from the center of the retainer to the center of the ball and the angle speed ratio of the jig to the lapping plate. Finally, the parameters optimized are obtained by means of simulation.
