摘要

In general, suppliers of shape memory alloys deliver their products to the application company in cold-worked or straight-annealed conditions. In order to manufacture a specific SMA component from the purchased material, the application engineer should determine a temperature of the heat treatment intended to restore the superelasticity or shape memory properties of the cold-worked material and/or to set a shape into the material. This paper presents an easy-to-perform method intended to help the application engineer optimize the post-deformation annealing heat treatment, taking into account functional requirements of the specific application.
