An interactive operation model for distribution network with multi-microgrids to optimize wind power integration

In order to not only optimize large-scale integration of wind resources but also offer an optimal dispatch approach for the new framework of multi-microgrid-based smart distribution network, this paper proposes an interactive cooperative model for dispatch of the new framework. This model applies a bi-level programming whose upper level is distribution layer and lower level is microgrid layer, describing the cooperative interaction between upper and lower level. Sine every microgrid has reserve capacities of energy storage system and dispatchable generators, these capacities can be dispatched flexibly. A cooperative interaction game matrix is introduced with the capacities to describe the cooperative interaction between microgrids. The model is then solved by a genetic algorithm. A case study is present and shows that compared with traditional non-cooperative dispatch, the utilization of wind power increases greatly and wind power impact on distribution system decreases greatly. This model not only provides a middle-and-short dispatch method for optimal operation but also lays the foundation for further applications of wind resources and multi-microgrid-based distribution network.
