摘要

A new method for data reconciliation, true on line error variance evaluation, gross error and leak identification, called PUMA (Pseudo Unknown Measurement Algorithm), is given. This adaptive algorithm has been tested by some simulated problem and has been successfully implemented in refinery power plant monitoring where it has been able to predict some leaks on refinery gas network preventing possible gas cloud partially confined explosion.
