Statistical Process Control Procedures in Relation with Reliability Engineering

Process maintenance is a topic of SPC (statistical process control) and of reliability engineering. In industrial practice and in academic literature these two approaches used to be considered separately. The present paper establishes a unifying framework for process maintenance and outlines perspectives for research.
