In this paper, the locus equation of the tool rotation is deduced; through plenty of data obtained from solving the equation on computer the relationship between the location of the guide-pads and non-roundness of the processed hole is analyzed; Starting from the least influence to the processing surface by the non-roundness of guide surface, the proper location of the guide-pads is obtained.
