Using commercial PP and EPDM, thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV) was prepared using a dynamic vulcanization technique. The rheological behavior of the prepared TPV blend was investigated. It is found that with the increasing of shear rate the shear stress and the apparent viscosity of the blend decreased, and at the same time with the increasing of temperature the apparent viscosity of the blend also decreased. The relation between the pressure drop of the die and shear rate at different temperatures was also studied, and the results are in accordance with the power-law descriptions. Our findings may be used to resolve some issues of the TPV injection molding.
