Centrifuge model tests are performed to examine the configuration of ground settlement and the relationship between ground settlement and the decrease of internal supporting pressure induced by tunnel excavation in sandy soil ground. Based on test results, normalized P~S relationships are founded; the influences of soil type, water content state and embedded depth ratio on settlements are discussed.
