摘要

We describe a new model for distributed programming. Its roots are in concurrent constraint programming where there is a shared constraint store and synchronization is achieved via constraint entail-ment. In this framework, distributed agents are coordinated explicitly by constraints, there is a clear separation of the concurrency aspects of the agents from the their functionality, and the agents are programming language independent. We describe our current implementation where coordination among either concurrent Java threads or distributed Java objects is achieved via a shared constraint store.
