In recent years, the oil industry has seen that technologies leading to enhanced reservoir and production management will help to secure economical exploitation of these resources. In order to increase significantly the production potential, a better management of wells can be done through the use of the permanent real-time monitoring and control techniques. Data is routinely collected in real-lime over packet-switched communication links by sensor nehvorks placed in all wells within production fields. Compulation is distributed across a middleware system. We propose OSA+, a new scalable service oriented real-time middleware architecture that support the development of a permanent monitoring and control systems.
