摘要

Experiment of the double-clad erbium-ytterbium co-doped fiber amplifier is studied. In this experiment, this fiber with hexagonal inner cladding is utilized as gain medium which is pumped by multimode semiconductor laser with tail fiber. It increases the optical power of the signal light, which its centre wavelength is 1550.136nm. When the optical power of the pump laser is 4.56W, the output laser power of the amplifier can be 1.12W; the optical-to-optical efficiency can be 24.5%. The plus of this amplifier can be 36.9dB.
