摘要

Biological samples are mainly composed of low Z elements. In order that the elemental analysis is possible for low Z elements by means of micro-beam PLXE, (a) a new beam line of microprobe, (b) a new sample chamber, and (c) a Si(Li) x-ray detector having a thin window have been settled at our tandem accelerator. In this report, first, the characteristics of these facilities are described, and second, some preliminary results arc presented in connection with some prospects on ion-beam analysis of low Z elements.
