RESEARCH ON APPLICATION OF MOBILE-PHONE POSITIONING TECHNOLOGY IN LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS

摘要

GPS is a high technology used for positioning and leading voyage came into being in the 20th century, and it is applied in many fields. But in China's logistics area it is applied limitedly because of various reasons. Now with the popularization of mobile phone and development of its positioning technology, mobile phone positioning systems will be a replacer to GPS in logistics area, especially in the field of highway transportation. Using the computer-managed information systems based on this technology, the logistics company can collect dynamic information of all trucks and goods, can realize tracing management to them, and can increase the diaphaneity of transport proceeding greatly. This paper does some research on mobile phone positioning technology and application of it in logistics management information systems.
