The experimental bench introduced in this paper was designed to verify the reliability of the FEA results, aiming at the simplified models of ceramic ball bearing: plate-ball contact model and raceway-ball contact model, and hoping that the total approaching displacement and the force-displacement curves could be obtained directly. Accordingly, the results from FEA would be proved reliable or not. In this paper, the final project was contrasted theoretically with the early ones, and the superiority and rationality of the final project were proved by the experiments. The tested models were the same as the models established with FEA software MSC. Marc. The experiment was divided into two parts. In the first part, the force-displacement curves were obtained by two different methods: first force was loaded repeatedly three times at the same contact position in the same conditions and then at four different contact positions in the same conditions. The curves obtained in this part proved the fine stability and reliability of the equipment. The second part was carried out with the two tested models, with the precondition that the equipment had been proved stable and reliable. The result from the second part accorded well with the calculated result of the FEA and the analytic result educed by the HZ theory, which showed that the design project of this bench was feasible and it was reliable to analyze the contact problem of ceramic ball bearing with FEA software.
