Optimizing Intranet Topology Under Enterprise Information System's Requirements

An enterprise often seeks an efficient and effective method for information communication within the organization. The establishment of the intranet is widely used for this purpose. In previous intranet design related researches, heuristic algorithms are often used to find the optimal solutions. In this paper, a method for intranet design will be proposed by establishing an ontology schema for the organizational data, and then sketching an intranet topological design to achieve a deterministic solution. An intranet based on this method can not only fulfill the requirements of the enterprise information system but also piovide the minimum total unit transmission costs by using the lower layout costs.
