Today, no organization can afford to ignore the opportunity provided by developing an e-business using the Internet. At the same time, no organization can ignore the magnitude of security risks that have been associated with the open infrastructure and architecture of the Internet telecommunications system. This paper discusses the most common computer crimes that are related to the threats and problems of networking security and privacy. In addition, it presents some of the key counter measurements that can be used to maintain the computer information system security and the data file privacy.
