High Pressure Inactivation of Heat Activated Ascospores of the Mould Eurotium repens

Heat activation of E. repens ascospores was carried out in the temperature range 50-60 deg C. Activation improved the inactivation result, though the inactivation rate is raised only at the beginning of the high pressure treatment. A holding time between activation and inactivation led to a partial re-stabilization of the spores.
