Redox-induced species distribution of arsenic in a suboxic groundwater environment - column experiments

In order to study redox behaviour and related transport behaviour of arsenate and ar-senite, column experiments were performed under conditions of iron reduction by catechol. The results reveal different processes, in particular the reduction of As(V) by catechol and a reoxidation of As(Ⅲ) on iron hydroxide.
