摘要

This paper reports the new global energy model that can describe a detailed energy transportation network in the world. In evaluation of CO_2 emission reduction technologies, transport cost is very important. Because less carbon intensive fuels, such as natural gas and hydrogen, need more energy transportation costs than high carbon content fuels, like coal. First, this paper shows the outline of our energy model. The model was formulated as a mathematical programming problem with detailed description of long-distance energy and CO_2 transportation. The model can assess the possibility of the development of extensive energy transportation network in the world. Second, we explain the calculation results of the model for Reference Case, in which no CO_2 emission constraint is assumed. Then, we explain the result of Regulation Case, in which we assume a regulation of CO_2 concentration in the atmosphere under 550 ppm until the year 2100. At last, we discuss long-term technological options for storing emitted CO_2.
