摘要

A new analytical method for determinating stable channel configuration of self formed river is presented. The method is based on a downstream approach and includes spatial variability along the river reach of quantities related to hydrological and sedimentological river basin characteristics. It combines one-dimensional steady water and sediment continuity equations, friction factor and sediment transport laws together with given analytical expressions of river basin input quantities along the river reach. A differential equation is obtained and solved to calculate the downstream equilibrium geometric and hydraulic variables.
