摘要

The connection between comminution phenomena and NO formation is studied by means of simulations. The paper shows that the concentration of fine char particles has a significant effect on NO emission. The gas atmosphere, the temperature, and the char particle size distribution determine whether heterogeneous NO formation locally dominates over NO reduction by char.
