摘要

CSAMT sounding is actually a kind of EM sounding by using artificial source and characterized by high efficiency in data acquisition, high lateral resolution, weak resistive shielding effect and moderate detection depth. Good results have been obtained with CSAMT sounding for the archaeological investigation in the Qinshihuang's tomb. The results show that the underground palace and accompanying funerary pits of the tomb and the shallow part of the escape canal reflect as of resistive anomalies, while the south gate of the tomb and the deep part of the escape canal reflect as of conductive anomalies. It is proved that CSAMT is effective for the archaeological investigation in the Qinshihuang tomb, and in general the CSAMT can be used for shallow archaeological investigations.
