Quadruple black locust is a sort of fast-growing wood, a complement in paper wood. The paper systematically recommends the wood property (including fiber conformations and chemical constitutes) of young common black locust (2-4years) and young quadruple black locust (2-4years), the method of chemical pulping adopted, and determination the adaptability of wood property toward pulping and papermaking. The experiment adopts SFP-AQ, a kind of cleaning pulping method. Orthogonal test was employed to test the effects of the four factors including dosage of alkali, degree of sulfite, the first up-time, and second up-time on yield and kappa and cooking technology was optimized. Nine parallel tests were carried out and the result of 9 groups of pulp had been tested, such as raw pulp yield, fine pulp yield, and kappa. According to the result of 9 orthogonal tests, the optimum cooking condition established. Amplify the experiment (anhydrous materials 1000g), then beat and testing the various properties of paper (diversified strength such as tearing strength, etc.). Analyzing from fiber conformation, cooking result and paper properties, the paper draw a conclusion that 2 years common black locust and 4 years black locust are recommended for pulping.
