摘要

The circular tube has been changed into elliptical tube in a kind of heat exchanger, and the elliptical tube's performance has been analyzed. A conclusion is drawn that the performance of elliptical tube excels that of circular tube. This kind of elliptical tube is used in lithium-bromide absorption air-conditioner system whose main power is solar energy. Computer simulation result shows: the coefficient of performance (COP) of this system can be higher than 1.1 and the size of system is smaller than that of system which uses circular tube heat exchanger. What's more, the volume of system is smaller than that of another system.
