This paper presents a novel highly integrated DC/DC converter for a power supply converter. Many studies have suggested that various advanced electronic apparatus require power supply blocks (or power supply converters) with higher efficiency, which are lower efficiency at present. The authors consider that it is special integrate circuits (IC) that limite transforme efficiency of power supply blocks in some degree, and result in lower efficiency. But, they have been coming into being in a great deal of heat during the course of transform. In order to multiply transforme efficiency of power supply blocks, a practical application of highly IC has been put forward for DC/DC ones. The DPASwitch IC introduces a highly integrated solution for DC/DC conversion applications in the 16-75VDC input range. DPA426 uses the same proven topology as TOP Switch, cost effectively integrating high voltage power MOSFET, PWM control, fault protection and other control circuitry onto a single CMOS chip. The authors demonstrated that the maximum efficiency is 87% at 48VDC and from 36VDC to 75VDC input. Therefore, the power supply block has higher efficiency, smaller size and more detectable function than other power supply blocks.
