In this paper, the experimental study of 275 soil samples with free vibration column apparatus on recently deposited soils for the lower reaches of Yangtze River including mucky silty soil clay, clay, silty clay, silty clay and silt interbedded strata, silt, fine sand and coarse sand , which are from Nanjing, Suzhou, Changzhou, Xuzhou, Taizhou, Yancheng, Yangzhou, Wuxi, Zhenjiang, Zhangjiagang, Lianyungang, Qidong, Changshu, Jiangyin, Suqian et al 15 cities, are performed. The envelopes, fitting curves and recommended values of dynamic shear modulus ratio G/G_(max) or/and damping ratio λ versus shear strain amplitude γ for 7 types of soils are presented. Because lack of the study on dynamic parameters of recently deposited soils for the lower reaches of Yangtze River, this research is good for us to make insight of dynamic characters of recently deposited soils in this area. What's more, it can be use for reference to make seismic safety evaluation of engineering sites for all kinds of engineering in this area, and make these work development.
