This article mainly introduces a practical application of GPS automatic monitoring system in safety monitoring system engineering of tailings reservoir dam at Lanting in Zhe-jiang province, and verifies the actual effect of using single frequency GPS receivers to moni-toring the dam's deformation with the results of processing and analyzing actual data.
