Intelligent Software Agent Based Information Architecture for the Development of SDI

摘要

Provision of the right information at the right time and efficient access to the spatial information is the key element in the development Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI). Lack of technical skills both in supply and demand side requires that the information technology employed for the development and maintenance of SDI must be user friendly. It should assist the users to get the desired information without being faced the multiple problems of information retrieval. Software agents posses an adequate potential and provide the capability to meet the development and maintenance needs of SDI. This paper proposes an agent based information architecture for the development and tries to put in place the intelligent software agent tools to support the maintenance and information access mechanism in SDI context.
