摘要

This paper gives detailed descriptions in the influence of mould, secondary cooling area on the solidification of billet continuous casting, and brings up basic principles of design of the mould, the secondary cooling area when high-efficient improvement is made. These basic principles of design were successfully utilized in revamping of the billet continuous caster in Chuanwei Oroup. A useful suggestion of high-efficient reform in billet continuous casters is proposed.
