The Research of Housing Industry's Contribution to Shaanxi Economy Development

In order to boost domestic demands, local governments put forward many plans to accelerate housing industry. The governments believed that housing industry could bring up many other industries and finally increase the amount of GDP. However, there are still some questions not be answered: what's the housing investments' contribution to macro economy? What kind of factors would influence the contribution? It was so urgent to answer the questions above. In this paper the consumption function theory was introduced, the author researched the MPC in Shaanxi urban population with statistic demonstration, and then the author researched multiplier effect in Shaanxi housing investment, at last, a housing investment contribution model was suggest to value the housing investments' contribution to Shaanxi GDP. The use of multiplier to value the contribution of housing investment was a new and rewarding attempting.
