Development of Urban Land Information System Based on GIS

Urban land is the foundation of city development and all urban activities. Reasonable utilization of urban land resource is fatal to prosperity and healthy growth of the whole area. Reliable urban land research should be based on reasonable and objective appraisal. Urban land structure is changing rapidly with Chinese accelerating economy developing and urbanization steps. Artificial urban land information acquirement can not appease urban macro management decision requirement. Utilizing Geographical Information System (GIS) can fulfill research related information collecting processing, storage, and administration. Analyzing that information by its analyses function, urban land utilizing status, land structure information, and developing trend can be well known. Through particular demand analysis, function design, and module developing, urban land information system as the main fruit can realize atomization of urban land information management, land utilizing status appraisal, and land structure optimization. And it also can show the whole process by visual techniques.
