Normal strength concrete with a high freeze/thaw and deicing salt resistance must be produced as an air-entrained concrete. The verification of a high freeze/thaw and deicing salt resistance is provided by several test methods, generally carried out on 28 day old test specimens. Experience in the literature indicates that the aging influence affects the freeze/thaw and deicing salt resistance positively. In the presented investigations the freeze/thaw and deicing salt resistances (governed by CDF test) of different concrete types are analysed each with and without micro air voids in dependence on age. According to these tests the freeze/thaw and deicing salt resistance of concrete without micro air voids clearly increased but did not reach the level of concrete with micro air voids. The general aim of this investigation is to develop a method of inspection and valuation on the basis of the "Performance Concept".
