Study on Workability Evaluation Method for Non-Vibrated Porous Concrete

Adopting non-vibrated porous concrete as permeable base can improve its stability and smoothness greatly. Since the nonvibrated porous concrete is a kind of hard concrete and the workability can not be evaluated by the method used in common concrete, a simple method of surplus cement mortar to evaluate the workability is proposed. Meanwhile, a new evaluation index of surplus cement mortar ratio (δ) for non-vibrated porous concrete is put forward. Besides, considering four factors of aggregate, cement-aggregate ratio, water-cement ratio and sand ratio with four levels for each factor, an orthogonal design table L16(45) is used to arrange workability tests for non-vibrated porous concrete, and the regression formula of the surplus cement mortar ratio is got through analyzing the test results. In practice, If the surplus cement mortar ratio got from the workability test lies between the range of δ±1% got from the regression formula, it shows the mixture ratio of the non-vibrated porous concrete meeting the workability requirement.
