The mechanism of management of cooperative workgroup is widely used in the parallel and distributed system, in which there are many factors to be considered in every step of the design, and these designers constitute the pattern of cooperative workgroup. In order to well support the pattern, the mechanism of management of cooperative workgroup is required. The paper discusses the problem of parallel requirement in cooperative, edit which takes Geography Information System (GIS) as the background, and gives the solution to the problem through the scheme of the mechanism of management of cooperative workgroup. It is proved by practice that the application of CORBA technology in cooperative edit of GIS can smoothly resolved the coherency of data and problems of the cooperative work of multi-users in the management of cooperative workgroup.
