WAN Technology and Cost Optimization Trend for UK and Ireland

Network connectivity is the fundamental IT infrastructure component based on which applications are being accessed and business transactions are flowing back to the ERP systems. The key challenge to the IT industry is that technology is changing super-fast and security challenges are becoming harder. At the same time WAN budget is getting lower year by year to satisfy other critical IT investments. For IT managers it is very important to focus on technology and cost optimization to get best fit Wide Area Network solution in place to ensure quality of service delivery for international WAN connectivity. The current study will show the trend of WAN technology in UK and Ireland and associated Commercial impact in last 5 years (2014- Mid 2018). The aim is to provide greater visibility to the IT managers for selecting right technology with smart approach for MPLS based WAN connectivity and helping them for proper budgeting for future WAN solution. Alignment with WAN technological trend and trend of bandwidth demand will truly add value in capacity planning to avoid potential WAN circuit over utilization for locations which can result poor application performance. In the edge of digitalization, fundamental Network availability will ensure guaranteed service delivery over MPLS WAN to get competitive advantage. Under MPLS WAN Solution, lowering TCO and optimizing technology is the key for future to grow in a sustainable way.
