In the operating process of the scroll air compressor, the heat and force loads acting on the scroll plants may cause the deformation of these components. Based on the temperature distribution of scroll plants, the deformations of heat and force are researched using the finite element method (FEM). The results show that the temperature has the maximum value at the center of the profile, and it is a little higher than the suction temperature in the outer of the profile. There are the maximum axial deformations at the center of the profiles of the fix and orbiting scroll plants. The value of the radial fit clearance is bigger than zero at all parts But the value of the axial fit clearance is bigger than zero at the center of the profile and is less than zero at the outer of it. The maximum radial and axial fit clearances are 59.5 μm and 38.8 μm respectively. And the proper cutting of the center profiles can decrease the overall axial clearance and increase the reliability of the scroll air compressor.
