摘要

In this paper we propose a control method for access network resource sharing between SIP users involved in a multi-media session. We propose a communication model in which a SIP control entity controls the end-to-end QoS negotiation procedure between the users, and blocks the session setup if there are not enough resources to guarantee the users's desired quality of service in the access network. Moreover the method we propose allows the SIP control entities to inform the users about the amount of available resources in the access networks. This control method is described in Section 4 and has been developed on the basis of the end-to-end negotiation model proposed by IETF in the RFC 3312 "Integration of Resource Management and Session Initiation Protocol" and bearing in mind the QoS classes and parameters defined by ETSI TIPHON project for VoIP systems.
