Modeling and Performance study of MPLS VPN

摘要

This paper models the MPLS Virtual Private Network (VPN) for a shared network environment. Different types of VPNs and issues of current IP networks are discussed. The experiments have been carried out for the model and the security and performance were studied for IP networks by enabling IPSec over MPLS VPN. Based on the test results, the impact of security on performance with respect to transaction time and latency are measured. The results of the experiments are then analyzed.
