In this paper, approximate entropy and sample entropy are applied to the study of magnetoencephalography, the entropy of the magnetoencephalography of the depressive and normal people is analyzed under the positive, negative and neutral mood stimuli. The results showed that the approximate entropy of the magnetoencephalography in patients with depression is lower than that in normal persons under positive, negative and neutral emotional stimuli, indicating that the response of depression patients to emotional stimuli is weaker than that of normal persons; the relative differences of the approximate entropy of magnetoencephalography in frontal lobe are most obvious among depressed patients and normal people, which can be used as the auxiliary basis for clinical diagnosis. At the same time, sample entropy is used to analyze the data and get similar results with approximate entropy, but the relative difference is more obvious than that of approximate entropy. Therefore, compared with approximate entropy, sample entropy is more suitable for the distinction between patients with depression and normal persons.
