摘要

The evolution of Information Technologies (IT) require each organization to keep up with the transformation and adaptation, with no exception in the sector of education. Now almost all of educational institutions been using information technology. It can be seen in the management of academic data, as the main of their activities. Most of educational institutions such as high school and universities in Indonesia have been implemented a computerized system for the management of academic system. As an educational institution, Astra Polytechnic of Manufacture also used IT in the management of academic data by using application called Sistem Informasi Akademik(SIA), but the system not optimized because some problem such as: only accessible in intranet area, there is bug in the application, business process changes, and the addition of new functions. These problems make the system must reengineered. Most process of reengineering focused on Business Process Automation. The process of reengineering done through the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and used Phased Development Methodology with object-oriented approach. The result of the analysis and design process of reengineering SIA Polman Astra is expected to meet the needs of academic business process in Polman Astra.
