摘要

An algorithm for tracking a free surface with turbulence has been developed based on the CIP (cubic interpolated propagation) method. The Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible, unsteady Newtonian flows are solved using an unstructured mesh. The turbulent State is considered using a modified k - epsilon model. For application to the large-scale calculation, a 3D mold-filling simulation with multicavities with gates and a runner is demonstrated. The numerical result is qualitatively compared with the experimental data. Fairly good agreement has been achieved between the numerically predicted flow pattern and the short-shot experimental data.
