摘要

A numerical method for coupling fluid flows in horizontal wellbores and porous media is proposed. The Reynolds number is allowed to vary with position. Based on the numerical method, various numerical experiments have been carried out to investigate the dynamic features of fluid flow in horizontal well systems for different permeability, and to compare the productivity of oil from reservoir by using vertical wells and horizontal wells respectively.
