摘要

The friction stir welding of plastic is studied in this paper, the main welding parameters which includernthe shape of the friction stir tool, rotating speed, welding speed,plunge depth and tilt angle have some effects onrnthe appearance of the weld. The mechanical tests are carried on the good appearance weld. Results show that ifrnthe welding parameters are optimal, good appearance and defect-free weld can be attained and the tensilernstrength of the weld can attain 90% that of the base metal.
