Study on Dynamic Resistance Curves in Spot Welding of Stainless Steel with Shunt Effect

The Dynamic Resistance Curves (DRCs) of stainless steel are studied in resistance spot welding with shunt effect. It is found that there is of an exponential relationship between the quasi-steady resistance values and the nugget diameters. In the welding process, the sheets distort, which affects the nugget sizes, however the distortion has not changed the relationship.
