摘要

Lately, the use of fibre reinforced thermoplastic (FRTP) has increased due to its better mouldability compared to thermosetting FRP material. ABS/PVC blend was widely used due to relatively good mechanical properties and lower cost. However, some mechanical properties were not enough in some fields. The continuous glass fiber reinforced ABS/PVC composite was produced by suspension impregnation. The mechanical properties of long glass fibre reinforced ABS/PVC composite was studied by impact and tensile tests. The results show that the mechanical properties can be greatly improved by long glass fibre reinforcement, and the suspension impregnation process is suitable for producing long glass fibre reinforced ABS/PVC composite.
