Study on dendritic nanofibers of polyaniline via interfacial polymerization

The conjugated polymer polyaniline is a promising material for much potential application. Uniform polyaniline nanofibers have been developed using interfacial polymerization without templates or functional dopants. In this report, we prepared PANI nanofibers by the interfacial polymerization method. The nanofibers exhibited a diameter of 20-30 nm and a length of about 1um. The effect of centrifugal force on the morphology of the nanofibers was discussed. In situ UV-Vis spectra indicated that the interfacial polymerization process was same as the solution polymerization process.
