Controllable growth of fullerene nanowires and nanotubes

摘要

We report the fabrication of fullerene nanostructures by template method together with electrochemical deposition strategy. Several nanostructures such as porous-wall and solid-wall fullerene nanotubes and nanowires were generated by using the C_(60) derivatives and endohedral metallofullerenes. The morphology of the fullerene nanostructures is well controllable. The results provide a step toward broader applications of fullerene-related materials in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
