Why MA will continue in the MEMS industry for the next 18 months

For the MEMS industry, the past three years have been hard but buoyant. Some companies have closed their business while others have been involved in numerous M&A. In 2002, 2003 and 2004, many companies closed their MEMS activities and almost all the fragile companies have now disappeared. But this year, some companies are still in a very difficult situation and could go bankrupt before end 2005. This presentation will focus on the current consolidation of the MEMS industry (why some companies disappear while some others are bought out). It will also show that new M&A operations are happening with systems manufacturers willing to sell their MEMS fabs.
