The present paper aims to introduce the authors' study on the shocking-to-detonation transition (SDT) of insensitive high explosives (IHE), LX-17 and ultrafine TATB by using the HYBRID reaction rate model and the modified JWL equation of state (EOS), with the simulation of the colliding diverging detonation. The results of our study show that the shocking-to-detonation transition (SDT) of insensitive high explosives simulated with modified JWL equation of state can better be in conformity with the experiment, and the peak pressure in colliding diverging proves more 10%higher than with JWL equation of the state.
