Experimental Study on Primary Initiation of New Composite FAE Fuel

With the new high-energy liquid composite fuel and inducers-contained central charge which had been prepared, experimental observations on dispersion and hot multi-spot ignition and primary initiation of the new composite FAE fuel were successfully done. Records of high-speed field camera show that strongly luminous phenomena can be seen during four stages of primary initiation with the new composite FAE fuel, dispersion stage of the new composite FAE fuel is high speed and temperature diffusion stage with acutely explosive reaction. Testing results of explosion wave overpressure show that the new composite FAE fuel can correspondingly increase primary initiation overpressure of explosion wave, and can multiply the energy release or output ratio and explosion power of the new composite FAE fuel.
